Sizing Information

Since dogs come in all shapes and sizes, it is a good idea to measure your dog the first time you decide to get a collar, or clothes. This chart will help you look for the correct size for your dog.

Sizing For Clothing

Usually, the chest or girth measurement is taken around the widest part of the chest or the rib cage just behind the front legs. The weight of your dog is also the other indicator for a good fit size. You also want to get a measurement of your dogs length which is from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. It is easiest to use a fabric tape measure.

(inches)(inches)(lbs.)(name)
11" - 16"12" - 13"under 12 lbs.Toy Breeds
16" - 20"14" - 15"12 - 20 lbs.Bichon - Terrier
19" - 25"17" - 18"18 - 32 lbs.Beagle
22" - 30"19" - 20"20 - 40 lbs.Border Collie
23" - 33"24" - 26"40 - 80 lbs.Golden Retriever
30" - 42"28" - 30"80 - 120 lbs.Newfoundland

Sizing For Collars

To measure for the correct collar size again, use a fabric tape measure and measure by wrapping it comfortably around the base of your dogs neck. Leave enough room to fit 2 fingers between the tape and your dogs neck. Unless specified, the number size of the collar corresponds to the neck size of the dog (size 6 collar = 6 inch neck). Feel free to email us with any questions.
